Bio
Dr. Lukas Blinka is an accomplished associate professor and researcher specializing in psychology, with significant contributions to the understanding of behavioral addictions, media psychology, and the intersection of social behavior and technology. He holds dual doctoral degrees—one in Social Psychology from Masaryk University (2016) and another in Media and Communication from the University of Tartu (2013). His academic journey began with a Master’s degree in Psychology from Masaryk University in 2007.
Dr. Blinka currently serves as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, where he is affiliated with multiple departments, including Psychology, Media Studies and Journalism, and the Institute for Research on Children, Youth, and Family. Additionally, he has been a part of the University of Akureyri in Iceland as an external lecturer since 2019.
Dr. Blinka has extensive teaching experience, delivering courses such as Applied Social Psychology, Media Psychology, Psychology of Addictions, Analytical Psychology of C.G. Jung, and Psychology of Computer Games. His teaching integrates theoretical frameworks with practical applications, fostering a deep understanding of psychological principles in students.
