Natasha Wislon Bio

Natasha Wilson is a PhD candidate and Sessional Psychology Tutor at RMIT University, Melbourne, specialising in digital immersion and disordered gaming. Her doctoral research examines how psychological and digital factors shape engagement with gaming, and vulnerability to problematic or disordered patterns of use.

Her research interests span gaming and esports psychology, digital immersion, player–avatar relationships, and the psychological processes that influence how individuals engage with virtual environments. Using longitudinal and quantitative research methods, her work explores how user characteristics and digital environments interact over time — contributing to a more nuanced understanding of digital wellbeing and problematic gaming.
