Bio
Brian is a dedicated researcher and educator passionate about unravelling the complexities of human behaviour in both online and offline contexts. As a PhD candidate in Psychology at RMIT University, he specialises in the study of non-substance-related compulsive behaviours and has a particular interest in problematic sexual behaviour.
Through rigorous research methodologies, including advanced text analysis techniques, Brian delves deeper into the underlying motivations and patterns of these behaviours. By analysing textual data in conjunction with quantitative measures, he aims to identify emerging trends, uncover hidden insights, and develop evidence-based interventions to promote mental and sexual well-being.
In addition to his research, Brian is an academic instructor, having taught undergraduate units in developmental, social, and organisational psychology. He is also an online facilitator at RMIT Online, where he leverages technology to create engaging and effective learning experiences. With a strong foundation in advanced statistical methods, including Bayesian network analysis, data mining and machine learning techniques, Brian brings a quantitative edge to his research and teaching.
